About Ridgways (Bedford Works) Ltd

Ridgways became Ridgways (Bedford Works) Ltd in 1920. Cauldon Potteries acquired it in 1929; Globe Pottery bought it in 1933, and the business later came under Lawleys. In 1952 it combined with Adderleys as Ridgway & Adderley Ltd. Its earthenware included traditional transfer-printed patterns and hotel ware, with a substantial North American export trade.
