Rigby & Stevenson made earthenware in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, at the Boston Works from 1894 to 1907 and the Pelham Street Works from 1907. Eric Cliff and James Brough retired from the partnership in 1937, leaving Walter Stevenson. During the wartime concentration scheme the business operated with W. H. Grindley & Co. at the Woodland Pottery. Pelham Street reopened in 1944. Receivers were appointed on 26 March 1954 and the business closed.
