About S Radford (Samuel, Ltd)
Samuel Radford made china at the New Market Works in Longton and, from 1883, at High Street East in Fenton. He operated on his own account by 1879, after earlier partnerships. His son William inherited the business. Norman W. Elliott bought it in 1931. Manufacturing was suspended during the Second World War and ceased in 1955 after its sale to Stanley Harrison. Samuel Radford Ltd was dissolved in October 1966.
