About Selb
Lorenz Hutschenreuther founded the Selb factory in 1859. It became a joint stock company in 1902, acquired Paul Muller’s Selb factory in 1917, and added the Tirschenreuth and Bauscher factories in 1927. Initially making domestic white porcelain, it expanded from 1880 into fine dinnerware and art porcelain, later offering decorative, gift and heat-resistant wares.
