About Smith & Ford
Smith & Ford made earthenware at the Lincoln Pottery in Dalehall, Burslem. After Frederick Thomas Jones left Smith, Ford & Jones in May 1894, William Thomas Hulme Smith and Samuel Ford continued together. Their partnership ended in June 1898; Ford continued at Lincoln Pottery as Samuel Ford & Co., while Smith opened W.T.H. Smith & Co. at Cable Pottery.
