About Sontag & Söhne
Georg Heinrich Sontag founded the porcelain painting studio in Geierstahl around 1812–1813. It decorated porcelain from Wallendorf, Tettau and later Fraureuth. Sontag interests acquired Tettau in 1865. Fraureuth blanks were purchased after that factory failed in 1926; only those pieces bear both factory and Sontag & Söhne marks. The decorating company went bankrupt in 1930.
