About Stanowitz Striegau
Conrad Walter established the Stanowitz porcelain factory in 1873. Striegauer Porzellanfabrik C. Walter & Co. became a stock company in 1898, when Walter retired. The factory was electrified by 1913 and opened a Dresden decorating workshop in the 1920s. It was rebuilt after a 1927 fire, but financial difficulties during the Great Depression led to closure in 1933.
