About Steve Rolf

Steve Rolf makes thrown functional ware. At the leather-hard stage he layers wet clay onto forms, then alters, engraves, carves, cuts and reassembles them. He earned degrees at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, Kansas City Art Institute and Alfred University and has worked as a studio potter since 1988.
