About Stevenson, Spencer and Co Ltd
Spencer Stevenson’s company made bone china in Longton, first at Dresden Works, Bagnall Street, then at Enson Works by 1956. Directory listings as Stevenson, Spencer & Co. can misleadingly suggest two owners; Spencer Stevenson was the owner and managing director. Manufacturing stopped in 1960, after which the business continued as a ceramic distributor.
