Brothers Thomas Allen and Spencer Green operated the Minerva Works in Fenton after buying out their brothers following their mother Margaret’s death in 1876. Their father Thomas had manufactured there from 1833, and Margaret purchased the works in 1863. Around 1889 the business continued as Crown Staffordshire Porcelain Co.
