Osborne is the pattern name; Tunstall was the location of the pottery works.
Thomas Elsmore continued the Clayhills Pottery in Tunstall with his son Henry after Thomas Forster left the partnership around 1871. They made ironstone-type ware, much of it exported to North America. Patterns included Osborne and Lilly & Vase; the company also made children’s ABC plates.
