Thomas Lawrence made earthenware at Trent Bridge Pottery in Stoke before building the Falcon Works in Longton in 1895. His nephew John Grundy became a partner and later managing director. After Lawrence died in 1932 and Grundy in 1938, Richard Hull and E. J. Dennis acquired the business as Thomas Lawrence (Longton) Ltd. It moved to a shared new factory with Shaw & Copestake in 1957 and was absorbed into that business in 1962. Use of the Falcon mark ended in 1964.
