About Theodore Randall Ted Randall

Ted Randall studied sculpture at Yale and ceramics at Alfred University. He joined Alfred’s faculty in 1951, headed the Division of Art and Design from 1958 and retired in 1981. He developed the fine arts program and improved the potter’s kick-wheel. His vessels and later sculptural sculpots combined throwing, coiling and slab building in stoneware and earthenware. He helped found NCECA in 1966 and wrote its original charter and bylaws.
