Roland Bott operated Longton New Art Pottery from about 1926 near Gladstone Pottery, decorating earthenware and experimenting with slips, glazes and cellulose coatings. The business moved to Parkhall Street around 1938 and later to Gordon Pottery in Forrister Street. Closed during the Second World War, it reopened in 1946 under the Leivers family. Kelsboro Ware character jugs were a major product.
It purchased floral-ware molds and patterns from Charles Amison & Co in 1962 and was succeeded by Kelsboro Ceramics Ltd in 1965.
