About Thomas Gimbert Booth

Thomas Gimbert Booth continued the Church Bank Works business in Tunstall after his father died in 1872. Initially Thomas Booth & Son, it became Thomas Gimbert Booth in 1876. It manufactured earthenware and ironstone for home, foreign and colonial markets, including hotel and ship use. Frederick Booth joined in 1883, forming T. G. & F. Booth. Earlier printed marks were sometimes used alongside the newer impressed T.G.B mark.
