Pitcher Method: Thrown Surface Technique: Glaze , Woodfire

Todd Piker apprenticed with Michael Cardew in 1970, also working with Svend Bayer. He established Cornwall Bridge Pottery in 1972, producing functional wood-fired stoneware with assistants and apprentices. Its bowls, platters, pitchers, mugs and flowerpots use studio-formulated clay and often local glaze materials. Apprentices stamp their own pieces. Former apprentices include Mark Hewitt, Mark Skudlarek, Nancy Barringer and Matt Jones.
