William Lowe manufactured earthenware, Egyptian black ware and china in Longton. After his partnership with John Tams ended in February 1875 he retained St Gregorys Works. In 1879 he built Sydney Works for the china department. After his death in 1898 the business retained his name. Thomas C. Wild & Sons acquired it around 1918 and continued under the William Lowe name until closure around 1930.
