Wittmann & Roth imported Continental porcelain and glass in London. Phillip Adolphus Wittmann founded the business at Great Marlborough Street in 1852. Family members and Augustus Daniel Roth later joined. Roth left in August 1879 but the name remained. After the December 1895 dissolution, Richard Charles Wittmann continued as Wittmann & Co. The W & R L importer mark has been wrongly attributed to Wayte & Ridge.
