About Wloclawek

Wloclawek faience manufacture began in 1873. Several factories operated there, including Teichfeld and Asterblum, Leopold Czamanski, Cohn Brothers, Keramos and A. Czarniecki. During World War II products were marked Leslau. The factories were nationalized in 1945 and later became the 1905 Revolution Wloclawek Table Pottery Factory. Hand-painted floral faience became especially popular in the 1970s. Production stopped in 1990 and traditional manufacture resumed in 2002.
