About Zachariah Boyle & Sons

Zachariah Boyle moved from Leeds to North Staffordshire around 1822 and manufactured earthenware and porcelain at Keelings Lane, Hanley. In 1828 he leased part of Wolfes Big Works in Stoke. His son John left in 1836 to join Minton. After Zachariah died in December 1841, his sons continued as Zachariah Boyle & Sons. Joseph retired in 1844 and Samuel continued with the estate executors. Samuel later operated Fenton Stone Works but became bankrupt in 1852.
