Chester

The source names Herbert Edward Barker and Frank Ernest Barker. Mary Barker founded the Birmingham business in 1801. Her son William continued with Creed as Barker & Creed. The firm traded as Barker Brothers from 1885 and became Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd in 1907. It amalgamated with Levi & Salaman in 1921 and acquired Ellis & Co (Birmingham) Ltd in the 1930s, later becoming Barker Ellis Silver Co Ltd.
