He was in partnership with James Wiltshire unit 1877. In 1881 he was joined in partnership by Samuel Jacob and the firm was listed as Rosenthal, Jacob & Co until 1892. when he continued the business at 23 Southampton Street Fitzroy Square as Rosenthal & Co. The business was closed for bankruptcy in 1895
