Attributed to Harrods Ltd (Richard Burbridge, managing director). Founded in 1849 by Henry Charles Harrod, the Knightsbridge store became a limited company in 1889. It bought Edwards & Sons in 1928 and Elkington & Co Ltd in 1934.
