Attributed to James Dixon & Sons. Established in 1806 in Silver Street, , by James Dixon and Mr Smith, the firm became James Dixon & Son in 1823, James Dixon & Sons about 1835, and James Dixon & Sons Ltd in 1920. Showrooms opened in London in 1873 and in Sydney and Melbourne in 1912.
