Desvres France pottery marks
Desvres is a French faience centre; marks can name a Fourmaintraux workshop or another local manufacturer.
Names, emblems and neighbouring codes
A painted monogram, factory emblem and DESVRES or FRANCE wording can occur together. A decorator name is separate from the factory, and historic-style Rouen decoration can appear on Desvres wares.
What to check next
Compare all initials and any sun or other emblem with the named workshop. A decorative style borrowed from another centre does not change the place named in the maker stamp.
