Taxco jewelry marks can include TS-24 registration wording; its first letter gives the location, followed by a maker initial and registry number.
Older Mexican silver can carry an eagle registration punch. Later letter-number registrations begin with the location letter, followed by the maker initial and registration number; T identifies Taxco. A code such as TS-24 is separate from the 925 purity stamp.
Compare the maker signature with William Spratling, Los Castillo, Margot de Taxco or other named workshops. ALPACA describes a nickel-silver base alloy rather than sterling; do not interpret MEXICO alone as a silver standard.
