Names, emblems and neighbouring codes
Trenton, New Jersey and East Liverpool, Ohio are pottery centres, not individual factories. MADE IN USA gives origin; a company name such as Homer Laughlin or Lenox narrows the maker.

Read a decorative line name separately from the manufacturer. Painted pattern numbers, impressed mould numbers and production codes can occupy different parts of the base. Compare all of them with the shape.
